Lynda.com for free (updated January 2018)

I’ve been using Lynda.com for free for two years now. I shard this with my Family and friends after using it for a while successfully hopefully you find it to be useful.

Boston Area Instructions

(Other Areas I found are below)

  1. This is 100% legal. I know right!
  2. The Boston Public Library (BPL) has partnered with lynda.com. Anyone who lives in MA can get a BPL Card/ecard.
  3. This works better if you have a linkedin.com account but you don’t need one. I think it just makes logging in easier. It also allows you to post your certificates of completion.

So let’s begin!

  1. Go to this website and click on the Get or Renew your eCard button. Fill out all the necessary information including an email address you have access to. Write down the pin you used during signup.
  2. Wait for the email. It could take some time. Once you get your email you will have an eCard Number. click on this link and input your eCard Number and Pin.
  3. Create a new account or link an existing account.
  4. You should be good to go. Enjoy watching these videos for free. This normally costs $25 per month.

If you have any questions feel free to text me or write in the comments.

First, you need a Library Card. If you don’t have one you need to get that first. Shouldn’t be too difficult though right?

  1. First, create a password for your Library Card
  2. Enter that info into this Lynda web portal
  3. Create a Lynda.com account or link it to an existing LinkedIn account.

  1. I did this! thanks, Fred. I love Lynda.com but I couldn’t justify $25 a month.
